Bertrand Traore scored in Burkina Faso’s win over Guinea-Bissau at the Africa Cup of Nations

 TRAORE..,

Bertrand Traore scored in Burkina Faso’s win over Guinea-Bissau at the Africa Cup of Nations that takes his nation into the quarter-finals as group winners.
The 21-year-old was restored to the starting line-up having come off the bench in the previous game, and he had an early chance to score shortly before an own-goal did put Burkina Faso ahead. Their opponents responded with chances of their own but Traore finished off a counter-attack calmly just before the hour to make the score 2-0. He shot wide later in the game after Guinea-Bissau had hit the bar from a free-kick but there were no more goals.
Traore joins Christian Atsu and Ghana in the quarter-finals and will play on Saturday against yet-to-be-decided opponents.
